Attendance Policy Reminder
As we approach the mid-point of the school year, we wanted to send a reminder to families about what qualifies as an excused absence. The following information will assist you in determining if your child’s absence from school will be considered excused or unexcused. What is a Lawful (Excused) vs. Unlawful (Unexcused) Absence?
Girls/Boys Basketball Schedule
Students who plan to attend home games must have a ticket. Students will be able to purchase tickets to home games for one dollar and only during their assigned lunch period. Tickets will be limited to fifty students per grade-level. Parents are invited to attend home games at no cost but due to limited space may be limited in the number of guests who are able to attend a game with them.
EXCEL BEYOND THE BELL - STARTING JANUARY 30 - MAY 18, 2023
Applications for Excel Beyond The Bell (EBB) , an afterschool program at Francis Scott Key Middle School, are now available in the main office. Student in EBB can get power up with an after school meal before heading off to an activity of their choice. Space is limited, so register NOW!

NEW At-Home Rapid Test Kits
Many families will spend time over the winter break traveling and visiting with family and friends. MCPS will distribute at-home rapid test kits to students and staff prior to winter break.
