S-A-T WORD OF THE DAY:
Hey Titans! Einstein SGA is currently participating in Montgomery County Public Schools' MLK Week of Service. This year, our service project is donating blankets to the Children's hospital in DC. Our goal is to donate 175 blankets, but we need your help to achieve this goal. Please place NEW or UNUSED blankets in our donation box --- located in the Main Office. We will also accept fleece material to make blankets as well. We are collecting donation until February 1st.
Seal of Biliteracy Fun Fact:
Did you know? The Bible is the most widely translated book available in 2,454 different languages. Pinocchio is a close second. But the world's most translated author is Agatha Christie. How many languages do you speak?
Attention Titans! This week we have been paying attention to forgotten leaders who served as catalysts for the desegregation of schools in the U.S. Because of them and our own heroes, we are all here, receiving an equal education in one of the most diverse counties in the U.S. In fact, we are ranked #2 by Niche, receiving an A plus in Public Schools, Good for families and Diversity. We want to know your own stories of who got you here and what you plan for the future! Come to Main street during lunch TODAY to share your story. Or respond to our SGA Instagram polls, @EinsteinSGA, for 2 spirit points! Here is an example of our own response from a member of the leadership class: Because of my dad who immigrated from Ireland, I'm here with my mom, brother and sister and am able to be the first in my family to go to college. My dream is to teach other first generation immigrants how to run their own business in the US.
We hope you feel empowered to realize who has made sacrifices for you, what they put at risk for you own development and how you are going to use that to empower yourself and those around you. Be courageous!
