Schedule for Wednesday, January 20, 2021 A Day

Secondary Schedule and Instructional Resources on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2021

Next Monday, January 18th, there will be no school as we celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.  Additionally, on Wednesday, January 20th, the United States Presidential Inauguration will be held mid-day.  Typically on weeks with holidays, the virtual Wednesday is adjusted to an A/B schedule in an effort to allow for four full instructional days.  Given that next Wednesday is a historic day and an opportunity for students to learn and witness the democratic process in real time, the Wednesday schedule will be adjusted as follows:

Schedule for Wednesday, January 20, 2021- A Day

9:00-9:30 a.m.                      Period 1

9:40-10:10 a.m.                    Period 2

10:20-10:50 a.m.                  Period 3

11:00-11:30 a.m.                  Period 4

11:30-1:30 p.m.                    Extended Lunch and Opportunity for Inauguration Viewing

1:30-2:30 p.m.                      Asynchronous Learning

The afternoon of the 20th will now be an asynchronous day for students.  This time may be used for students to process and reflect on the inauguration with their families or staff.  Students may need to discuss the inauguration events with a staff member for support.  School leadership teams will be available from 1:30-2:30 p.m. to engage students in a reflective discussion.
