Diamond Elementary School

Starting this summer and through the 2019-2020 school year, a new addition will be built in the front of our school building. We are happy to be getting a new main entrance with a security vestibule and a new main office suite.  In addition, they will be remodeling our health room by increasing it in space and layout to accommodate our student enrollment and school needs.  Construction has already started and our main entrance area to the school building has been blocked off with construction fencing.  Our temporary summer main entrance will be from the back of the building behind the gymnasium.  The large parking lot will be closed off during the summer for construction purposes, so daily visitors to Diamond will enter through the bus loop parking area and you will see red signs directing you to the school’s main entrance doors behind the gymnasium.  There is a push button camera/speaker by the school doors in the back of the building where you can gain entrance to the building and follow the signs to the main office area.

 The City of Gaithersburg Summer Camp is being held in our APR, Gym, and Kindergarten rooms during the summer.  They are using the side door by the APR and loading dock area.  This side door is only for City of Gaithersburg Summer Camp use.  All Diamond school related visitors must use the school entrance behind the gymnasium.

 We will send out additional information later this summer about the construction project going on during the school year and what parents should expect.
