All students who wish to participate in a sport are required to have an annual physical exam. The extracurricular activity fee has been eliminated for the 2017-2018 school year. Physical exam forms are available here on the MCPS website, the athletic director’s office, or in the main office. In addition, students who have financial obligations will not be permitted to participate in extracurricular activities until these obligations are paid.

Baseline Concussion Testing for Athletes:

Montgomery County Public Schools implemented Baseline Concussion testing for all athletes during the 2013-14 School Year. Athletes need to have this test done every two years while they are attending a MCPS high school. The test is a pre-season exam conducted in the computer labs in the school that takes approximately 30 - 40 minutes to complete. Areas such as learning and memory skills, ability to concentrate and problem solving skills are tested. In the event that the athlete suffers a concussion, the results from these tests can be used in comparison with similar post-injury tests.

To schedule your baseline test, email the athletic director, Clifford Elgin 240-207-2388 or email: Clifford_A_Elgin@mcpsmd.org
