Mr. Steve Orders,
Assistant Principal/Center Coordinator
I have been an educator in MCPS for 19 years, and I am also an MCPS graduate (Blair High School). After earning a BA in Literature at the University of Maryland, I turned my focus to education via the MAT program at Johns Hopkins University. I entered the profession as an English teacher and team leader at Wood Middle School, then transitioned to the high school world at Wootton. After 9 years of classroom teaching, I took on the challenge of creating county-wide resources, lessons, and assessments, working with the Dept. of Curriculum and Instruction in Central Office. After earning my Administrator’s Certification through McDaniel College, I made the move to administration at Watkins Mill High School. And now, I’m excited to see what lies ahead in my second year as a proud member of the Roberto Clemente family!
