Mr. John A. Robertson, Assistant Principal

J. Robertson 2018-2019

About Me:

I am a 27 year veteran educator committed to serving diverse communities. The second born child of teenage parents in South Central Los Angeles, I used the light of education to navigate humble beginnings and would go on to graduate from Brown University, where I earned an AB Degree with concentrations in Economics and Sociology. I decided to pursue a career in education in order to help youth unlock doors of opportunity and rise to their full potential. I started my career as a Social Studies and Mathematics teacher at Harlem Park Middle School in Baltimore City. I taught those same subjects at Randallstown High in Baltimore County. After meeting my wife, who was a resident of Germantown, I relocated to Montgomery County and served the community as an Administrator at Seneca and Northwest High schools. We have two children. The oldest graduated from Clarksburg High and the youngest will begin Montgomery Blair in the Fall. I hold an MA in Instructional Systems Development from UMBC and an MSW degree from the UMD School of Social Work. I bring ALL that I am to the Roberto Clemente Middle School community!!
