THE PTSA IS BACK AND WE NEED YOU TO JOIN! - PARENTS/STAFF/STUDENTS
Clarksburg families -- the PTSA was dormant in the 20-21 school year. As a result, there are two activities that must be addressed in the first few weeks of the 21-22 school year to ensure a strong and productive year.
1. Hold PTSA Membership Drive – chairing the membership drive, Maria McClure (mariafernanda.mcclure@gmail.com)
There are two ways you can become a member:

Use the on-line MemberHub site – After setting up a “profile” the member is able to manage registration and payment through this system! https://chs-ptsa.memberhub.com/
- Fill out the linked form and mail/drop off at Clarksburg HS (22500 Wims Rd, Clarksburg, MD 20871) in an envelope marked “PTSA Membership!” (if paying by cash, please deliver directly, not through mail or drop off)
2. Hold the Election of Officers (must be members to be elected and since there was no membership drive in 20-21, must join the 21-22) – chairing the process, Cynthia Simonson (president@mccpta.org)
- Please fill out this PTSA Interest Form by September 3 to express your interest in a position on the ballot.
- The PTSA will have a “special election” (time TBA) to elect officers.
- Officers include President, VP of Educational Affairs, VP of Administration, Secretary, Treasurer.
- General Membership will also elect 2 MCCPTA Delegates.
MCCPTA, at the direction of National PTA, is supporting the activities of the Clarksburg PTSA until the Officers are elected. Once elected, the officers will then propose a budget, work with the community on advocacy priorities, solicit and select committee chairs, and set the calendar for the rest of the school year.
