Principal's Weekly Message
A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL EDWARD OWUSU
Clarksburg High School Students, Staff, and Families,
As we head into the final full week of May, please stay vigilant regarding increasing rate of COVID-19 cases. Please see information from MCPS shared this past week.
This week is the last week of school for Seniors as 12th grade students will have a staggered end of class attendance schedule (See Here). All MCPS Chromebooks, textbooks, and materials loaned to seniors must be returned THIS week. Senior families that missed the meeting last week should please review the items provided at the meeting, including the slide presentation. Please see the Senior End of Year Activities in the newsletter.
This Friday morning, all 9th grade students and select classes will have a guest speaker. Mr. Tony Hoffman, national speaker on substance abuse and mental health will visit with students. His story is inspirational and moving and CHS is looking forward to welcoming him. You can see more via his website.
As we move closer to the end of the year, all students are reminded that books loaned from the Media Center are due no later than Friday, January 27. Next week Monday, May 30 is Memorial Day. School will be closed for staff and students for the holiday.
NEWSFLASH: All SSL forms documenting service completed this school year must be submitted to Mrs. Coe by the systemwide required deadline of June 3, 2022. Any unsubmitted SSL forms for service completed since June 1, 2019, will be accepted until June 3, 2022. Please note that after the 2021-2022 school year, SSL forms will no longer be accepted from previous school years.
