Welcome to the Cabin John Middle School Student Government Association (SGA). Any and every student can become involved with SGA at any time. We would love to see you at the meetings!
Participation in SGA is open to all CJMS students. If you would like to have more information about SGA activities and events you can join the SGA Canvas classroom. Please email Mrs. Keller with your name, ID number, and grade and she will add you.
During Distance Learning: meetings will be once a month on Wednesdays after school, 3:00-4:00
Please join your 2020-2021 SGA Officers at the first SGA meeting of the school year, Tuesday, October 20 at 11:45, and help us plan our fall events. Zoom link information will be emailed to students and is available by emailing Mrs. Keller.
Once school is back at CJMS, we will meet every other week on Wednesdays (more info to come)
We like consistent participation, but feel free to come when you can make it. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Keller

SGA Purpose
The purpose of the Cabin John Middle School Student Government Association is to provide the Student body with a voice in school affairs.
Some SGA activities include:

Acronym Guide
- MCJC - Montgomery County Junior Council (County level of SGA)
- MASC - Maryland Association of Student Councils (State level of SGA)
- SMOB - Student Member of the Board
- Executive Board - comprised of the SGA Presidents from each of the middle schools - meetings are held in the evenings at CESC
General Assembly - comprised of all members of SGA in each middle school - meetings are held during the school day at various middle schools around the county.
