Burtonsville Elementary School

Burtonsville is starting morning announcements tomorrow morning, your child should have received a Canvas notification that says Morning Announcements, May 4th. We want to set the tone for school days and bring some of Burtonsville into your home so please tell them to log on about 15 minutes early each day to watch the morning announcements.

This week is Spirit Week: Monday - Wear your Burtonsville t-shirt or blue & yellow Tuesday - Crazy Hair or Hat Day Wednesday - Jersey or Sports Paraphernalia Day Thursday - Pajama Day Friday - Super Hero or Essential Employee Day

MCPS has provided a phone number you can call with technology issues: 240-740-7022.

If you have a child who will be attending kindergarten next year, MCPS has also provided a registration number. Please call 240-740-5999 to register any students.

Please make sure your child is going to bed on time. Many students are missing their Zoom classroom meetings or are very tired and in bed during these meetings.

Thank you so much for your patience with chromebooks and continue to let your child's teacher know if you need a chromebook or if the chromebook is not working. If you have already given your child's name you do not need to give it again. Please talk with your children so they know they are not to record or post the zoom class meetings to social media.
