They may also qualify if they are receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA), or Medicaid benefits. Families may apply for meal benefits by completing an Application for Free and Reduced-Price Meals for the current school year. Beginning the school year 2022-2023, students who qualify for reduced-price meals will not be charged that cost - meaning that reduced-price students will eat for free!

Apply online NOW at MySchoolApps.com (Translations available) Click here for an English video tutorial. Click here for a Spanish video tutorial.

Federal eligibility guidelines change each school year; therefore a new application must be submitted each school year. All students in the family should be listed on one household application. A notice will be mailed home to each student if you are approved for meal benefits or do not qualify for meal benefits. Please keep this important document for your records and use throughout the school year. Families may apply for meal benefits at any time during the school year.

Households that are unable to apply online should contact their school or the Division of Food and Nutrition Services at 240-740-7400.

  • NEW Online Payments System- Sign Up Now
    • Montgomery County Public Schools has transitioned to a new online payment system called SchoolCash Online as its preferred method of payment for all school-related fees.

SchoolCash Online helps parents/guardians and community members pay school-related fees safely, quickly, and easily. SchoolCash Online will help increase efficiency and security at schools by making payments directly into schools’ bank accounts and eliminating the need for teachers to handle money. In addition, once registered, you will be immediately informed about school activities!

Powered by KEV Group, SchoolCash Online is the industry leader in the management of school fees. The new system puts all of the school-related fees online for purchase so users can make purchases online using a credit card or e-check. A processing fee will be included on all items available for purchase, regardless of the type of payment used on SchoolCash Online or at the school.

    • You can get more information on SchoolCash Online here.
  • New Parent Orientation
    • There will be a new parent orientation at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 in the James Hubert Blake High School Cafeteria.  This orientation will provide parents new to Blake with an overview of what to expect at Blake and how to support students in their transition to high school.
  • Parking Permits
    • If you plan on purchasing a parking permit – get a head start and register for School Cash Online  (SCO). This will ensure your future payments will be a breeze!

    • Student parking permits will go on sale starting August 15, 2022.

    • Students may pay for their parking permits by visiting our Blake HS Parking Payment page (starting August 15, 2022).

    • Parking permits are the same price ($75 + processing fees) regardless of payment type (cash, e-check, or credit).

    • Students will not need permits the first week of school to allow for students to purchase and pick up the assigned passes and parking spaces.  Here is the process for obtaining your parking pass.

      • Students and parents must review and sign the Blake HS Student Parking Policies and Procedures
      • Students and parents must fill out and sign the Parent Request for Student Use of Private Vehicle (Parking Application)
      • Students and parents can go to our Blake HS Parking Payment page and pay for your parking pass.
      • Parking Passes are non-refundable.
      • Students must clear all financial obligations to obtain a parking pass.  Check and pay for any outstanding obligations via School Cash Online (SCO).
      • After students pay online please keep a copy of the online payment confirmation.  When your forms have been completed and you have the payment confirmation please email a copy of the student driver's license, a copy of current vehicle insurance information, signed application and signed policies and procedures to Dawn_M_Jacob@mcpsmd.org.  Once the student application has been processed students and parents will receive a confirmation email and then can go the business office before school, during lunch, or after school to pick up your pass.

Any questions about parking passes can be emailed to Ms. Jacob ( Dawn_M_Jacob@mcpsmd.org ) our financial specialist who processes parking permit request.
