Applications Open for MoCo EmpowHER Leadership Institute

The MoCo EmpowHER’s Fall Leadership Institute is seeking high schoolers interested in developing their leadership and mentorship skills. The institute works to foster a community of girls and create a safe space to discuss sexual assault, sexism and other gender-based discrimination. Participants will attend bi-weekly workshops centered on refining leadership skills through public speaking, team dynamics and communication, and organization. There will be lessons on intersectionality, implicit bias, sexism in the media, and gender inequality and women's rights issues. Apply to the Leadership Institute.

The group is starting off the year with a College Prep Panel from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26 on Zoom. This event is open to anyone interested in learning more about the college application process. The meeting will feature a panel of EmpowHER alumni currently attending college. A second panel will discuss the basics of the college application. RSVP to attend.
