The ABCD award recognizes distinct and extraordinary accomplishments of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) employees in connection with official employment. Employees who place dedication to the school system above personal or political motives and/or those whose superior contributions are clearly to the benefit of the district and its children represent the very best of MCPS. Award recipients enhance both the success and the reputation of our school system through their extraordinary actions.

Perfect Attendance Awards are given to any permanent employee who worked the entire school year and did not use any sick leave.
