MAP-R Reading
Technology for Curriculum Mastery Measures of Academic Progress-Reading (MAP-R)
Audience Students in Grades 3–8
Launch Date Fall 2003
Description MAP-R is a computer-adaptive achievement test that quickly provides an assessment of a student's skill level in the different reading achievement areas. Elementary and middle school students must take the test in the fall and spring and can choose to take the test in the winter. These multiple assessments allow educators to measure academic growth in reading over time. MAP-R scores are available in IMS, along with more in-depth, web-based reports available for teachers and administrators on the NWEA MAP-R website.
