SSL Information & Updates

All MCPS students must earn 75 SSL hours to graduate from high school. SSL forms (https://bit.ly/SSLReflection) should be submitted to the school’s SSL coordinator no later than the required deadline of June 2, 2023

Students interested in earning the MS Superintendent’s SSL Award (for students who fulfill the 75-hour requirement for the first time in middle school) or HS Certificate of Meritorious Service (for seniors who earn 240 SSL hour or more) must submit all SSL forms by the required deadline of March 30, 2023

Upcoming March SSL Opportunities!

  • The Choose Respect Video Contest is open until March 13, 2023
    • Students may earn 10 SSL hours for quality video submissions. 
    • Interested students may view the contest rules and additional information at this website.

  • The Keeping It Safe Student Video Contest is open until March 31, 2023
    • Students may earn 5 SSL hours for quality video submissions. 
    • Interested students may view the contest rules and additional information at this link.

  • The Heads Up Phones Down Video Contest is open until March 31, 2023
    • High school students may earn 5 SSL hours for quality video submissions.
    • Interested students may view the contest rules and additional information at this link.
