December ECA Highlights
Poolesville High School Robotics Team
On October 22nd, FRC Team 4099 from Poolesville High School participated in Battle of Baltimore, a FIRST FRC robotics off-season competition, hosted at Dulaney High School in Cockeysville, Maryland. There were 22 other teams from across the DMV at the event. The Poolesville team was a finalist in the competition and also earned an the Star Spangled Banner award for gracious professionalism and sportsmanship.
Latin Dance 2022
The 2022 Latin Dance competition was held on November 22, 2022.

Student Latin Dance groups from 15 high schools participated—Bethesda-Chevy Chase, James Hubert Blake, Clarksburg, Damascus, Albert Einstein, Gaithersburg, Northwest, Northwood, Quince Orchard, Rockville, Seneca Valley, Sherwood, Springbrook, Watkins Mill and Wheaton. The Best In Show groups for the two divisions are listed below:

Quince Orchard High School and Clarksburg High School Marching Bands Take Top Awards at States
Quince Orchard High School won the Maryland Marching Band Association Class 1A State Championship and the award for Best Music Performance in its class.
Clarksburg High School won the Maryland Marching Band Association Class 3A State Championship and the awards for Best Percussion, Best Color Guard, Best Visual Performance and Best Overall Effect in its class.
