Projections indicated enrollment at JoAnn Leleck Elementary School at Broad Acres would exceed capacity by the end of the six-year planning period, with more than 800 students. Currently, the school has 12 relocatable classrooms and, due to the site, it would be challenging to place additional relocatable classrooms. Planning was approved to begin the architectural design for a replacement elementary school with a completion date of August 2025. An FY 2023 appropriation was approved for construction cost increases and for the balance of funding. An FY 2024 appropriation was approved for construction cost increases. As part of the recommended FY 2025–2030 Capital Improvements Program, the completion date for this replacement project is delayed one-year due to an extension of the construction timeline. An FY 2025 appropriation is recommended for construction cost increases. The recommended completion date for this project is August 2026.
