Cigna Open Access Plus (OAP)

Cigna Open Access Plus In-Network (OAPIN)

Your primary care physician (PCP) will provide medical care and may refer you to a network specialist, as necessary. However, the plan is an open access plan, and referrals are not necessary to see an in-network specialist.

Cigna Advantage Indemnity/Medicare Supplemental Plan (fee-for-service plan)

MCPS offers this traditional fee-for-service indemnity plan option, administered by Cigna, for current plan participants and retirees who move out of the local service area. The plan has a Preferred Provider Option (PPO) feature that allows retirees to receive discounts when you seek care from a participating provider. The benefits are similar to those provided under the out-of-network feature of the Closed POS plan.
