Advanced Placement, SAT and International Baccalaureate Courses

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Welcome to the MCPS Instructional Activities Center for Advanced Placement (AP) International Baccalaureate (IB) courses and examinations. MCPS and other school districts are working closely with the College Board and IB Organization to respond to the evolving landscape of school closures and keep you informed of actions taking place. Please check the links below regularly for ongoing updates:

As students continue their preparation for spring 2020 AP and IB examinations, students should continue using the resources and tools below.

Advanced Placement

The AP Classroom provides ongoing practice of topics and skills in preparation for the AP exam. To access these tools and resources, sign in or create an account directly in the AP Classroom. The portal provides digital tools in each AP course to ensure that students are well prepared for exam day. These resources include test question banks to master content and skills that your teachers assigns, as well as personal progress checks to check student understanding. Since these resources serve as review and practice, they do not need to be returned to school and will not be graded.

International Baccalaureate

To access resources for your IB course, students should sign-in to the specific IB course designated by your IB teacher, through Google Classroom or myMCPS Classroom, using the MCPS Google account (.net). Additional information and FAQs about IB courses and examinations can be found below:

SAT

For SAT preparation, Khan Academy allows students to link their College Board account to Khan Academy to practice for the SAT via Official SAT Practice. If you have already taken the PSAT or SAT, the program will create custom practice for you to practice what you most need to improve. More information for accessing these resources can be found here.
